AHHHHH!! So I had ALL of these negative paintings saved in my messages to comment on, but then I realized I'd be saying the same thing over again, so I'll just comment on my favorite of all them and know that it goes equally and expansively for all of them!
I LOVE THIS! I've only see this a few veryyy rare times before and thought "Oh, that's nice" before moving on, but something about the warmth that's still visible in your paintings even though so much of the paper is dark is stunning. It's so very bold and lovely and even if seems like it isn't excessively hard (you did quite a few flowers!), it also looks as if it took a great deal of time and energy to formulate each petal shape so delicately... I marvel at your patience, in among all that talent.
Also, AUGH! the colors! I love the way they work so directly together despite the amazing range of hues in there. The blues, purple, and reds, of course, work wonderfully, but at the same time, the hints of yellow and green work too, in ways you wouldn't expect beside the deeper colors.
I wanted to say this right from the start when I saw these: I would be super interested in commissioning a negative painting like this from you this summer, if you won't be super busy. Name whatever price you like!
